Rust is an extremely dynamic environment, and every possible situation cannot be spelled out in black and white. If you find yourself in a situation that is not listed, please reach out to the roesty.com Moderation team via a ticket.
Many of these offenses will receive a warning first, however, some warrant outright bans.
There is a 0 tolerance on cheating in any way or form. if an admin or mod considers to have enough proof you will receive a permanent ban without explanation. Anyone playing with you is at risk for being banned for association.
We do not share proof for obvious reasons.
Players caught circumventing a Rustafied server ban will have their new account(s) banned unless the original ban is reversed.
If you have any accounts with a VAC or game ban in any game (including Rust) that is less than 180 days old, you will be banned from our servers. Accounts linked to more than 1 Rust game ban will be banned permanently.
If a player is game banned or banned from Rustafied servers for any reason, they are not allowed to evade that ban and play again on a new account. When we catch players doing this they will be banned again for Ban Evasion. Associating with these players can, and often will, result in a ban for individuals or an entire team depending on the circumstances.
We do not expect people to know the complete history of every individual they play with at any point. That said, when clear and indisputable proof of players helping others evade is available to moderators, the involved player(s) will face a ban from all Rustafied servers as well.
To help combat hackers, we disallow players on VPN's or proxies by default. We understand some players may need to use a VPN when playing on our servers. To do so you must whitelist your steam accounts by opening a ticket on our website.
Please note: Given the hacker problem in Rust, if you are playing on a VPN, on a new account, private, or otherwise suspect profile, you may be banned from our servers.
Aggressive behavior is a part of normal gameplay in Rust. Toxic behavior is when someone’s actions start impacting the entire server. A prime example of this would be spamming chat.
Offensive material is a very subjective area. Signs depicting bigotry or offensive slurs may be removed by Moderators without warning, and potentially further action(s) may ensue.
Rust is still very much in development and as such we do not police most glitches that find their way into the game. At this time we restrict playing outside of the intended play zone (such as under the terrain or inside of rocks). Certain exceptions to this rule may be made at moderators discretion.
Encouraging or provoking others by pretending you are cheating, or creating false reports, may result in a mute or ban at our discretion. This also applies to playing on new, second-hand, or botted accounts.
To know the severity of the threat, it is important to understand the context behind the statement. For example, if someone says they’re going to “f*** someone’s mom” in all chat, it’s obvious that’s not a real threat. If the player is talking about tracking them down in real life or swatting them, please report them.
Doxing is the act of releasing the personal information of another player. This can include any real life information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. Players found to be doing this will be evaluated as to the severity, but ultimately, offenses of this nature are grounds for an immediate ban.
Publicly disparaging roesty.com or its staff is not tolerated and may result in action taken against individuals who do so. If you have a complaint about the server itself, please submit a support ticket on our website
